National Stress Awareness Day
National Stress Awareness Day (NSAD) is a nationally recognized day to drive awareness of Stress and best practice strategies to address it. NSAD aims to help people by highlighting the many coping strategies and sources of help available to people who want to reduce the harmful effects of stress in their lives.

Excelling Under Pressure - Tuesday 21st September 2010
This comprehensive one day programme includes a 3 hour seminar with an expert stress management consultant and will give you the knowledge you need to recognise the telltale symptoms of stress. You will learn tips, tricks and techniques to stop stress in it tracks. Those who attend come away with inspiring, powerful tools and a way forward that fosters and ensures a fulfilling work/life balance.
SenSpa, the award winning spa at Careys Manor makes the ideal setting for the day. Located within the New Forest in Hampshire, the luxurious and tranquil surroundings are within easy reach of London.
After spending the morning learning to recognise and effectively deal with stess, the afternoon is dedicated to inner awareness and balance of body, mind and spirit. You will experience SenSpa's award winning spa facilities, therapeutic treatments and healthy cuisine. As your day concludes, you will return home with a mind, body and spirit vibrating with renewed energy and vitality. You will feel rested and resilient again.

Stress Management and Wellbeing workshop
Feeling stressed? Need some expert help to tackle the tension in your life? Stress is a potential killer, implicated in medical conditions from high blood pressure and infertility to heart disease. But you can learn simple but effective tools that will help you get the better of stress, before it gets the better of you.
On the stress management workshop, you will learn from Stress Management Society experts:
- 'Desk yoga' and 'desk massage', which relax stressed muscles, rebalance body and mind and help with your breathing. They can be done discreetly at work, even in an open plan office.
- Creative visualisation and self-hypnosis help with quickly achieving a deeply relaxed state and help 'retrain' your mind to achieve great things.
- Advice on good health and nutrition to create the right foundation to build your new stress-reduced life.
You'll learn some very natural ways to deal with unnatural levels of stress, including:
- the breathing technique that makes it impossible to be unhappy
- the 10-minute relaxation method that equals three hours’ sleep
- why you should always keep a spare sock in your desk drawer in case of stress 'emergencies'!
