Staff Training

To tackle stress at work, we offer stress management training to your staff!

At the Stress Management Society, we pride ourselves on providing a valuable, user-friendly support network to offer stress management and well-being advice, news and information. We especially put prominence on how we provide our advice and deliver our training. It is essential to us that our clients are able to utilise our support effectively, and as such, often don’t use power point presentations and opt for a more practical approach. Our consultants, as well as being highly trained in their fields, are also trained motivational speakers and have extensive experience in delivering training in a way that is user friendly.

We aim to take clients from distress to de-stress whether it’s informatively, proactively, or as a result of personal or business needs. With the use of bespoke training programmes based on the topic of your choice. Subjects can include:

  • How to recognize stress and its impact
  • An understanding of the physiological effect of stress

How we can help
We have a variety of different ways we can support you in Recognising and reducing Stress and promoting Wellbeing within your organisation.

 Workshops

The Stress Management Society has trained thousands of people in stress management techniques over the last few years through:

  • one day workshops
  • awareness events
  • one-to-one training for all levels of staff
  • telephone support for delegates after courses

Our workshops have helped people from company directors to teachers, soldiers to professional athletes. We run public workshops throughout the year in London and The New Forest. We work all over mainland UK too. So we can tailor the workshop to your organisation, and bring it to your company on the date you choose.

Our onsite workshops help you to understand how we are affected by stress, what the physical, mental and emotional responses are and what we can do to increase our ability to cope with stress.

The workshops educate staff with many techniques to help them better cope with stress.  We teach a variety of coping techniques, some of which include guided imagery, desk yoga and desk massage. We are happy to work with you to create a bespoke training programme to meet the specific needs of your organisation.

These techniques relax stressed individuals by helping to rebalance body and mind. They focus on proper breathing, an essential tool in de-stressing. Once learned they can be applied in any type of work environment, or even on the train going to work!

Our workshops cover:

  • Understanding Stress

    - What is stress? What does it mean?

    - How does it affect us?

    - What is the purpose of stress?

    - When is it beneficial/appropriate?

  • Stress Evaluation Exercise
  • Desk Yoga techniques – Breathing and stretching exercises
  • Self Massage techniques
  • Creative Visualization
  • 10 step stress reduction guide
  •  Questions and Feedback

The optimum group size for such workshop would be 20-25 people, above this number we start to lose interactivity.  For larger groups we can arrange seminars and talks which are less interactive.

We can engineer our workshops to meet any outcome or budget - and we provide all handout material and ongoing email support after the workshop.
