Neil Shah

Neil founded The Stress Management Society in 2003 resulting from his own personal experiences around stress and mental health. He has since been creating safe spaces and opportunities for people to learn about stress and promote their wellbeing. He is a highly experienced and engaging motivational speaker, as well as an expert facilitator for the empowering wellbeing programmes run at the Stress Management Society and International Wellbeing Insights. As the author of a number of inspiring books, including ‘The 10 Step Stress Solution’, Neil’s passion is to drive for empowerment and strategic wellbeing change internationally.

Ruth Hoey

Ruth has various skills here from Office manager/mum to using her creative skills to produce inspiring content for our socials. She is passionate about promoting wellbeing by creating safe spaces for people that promote transformational journeys of growth. Trained as a Sound Healer, Ruth has hopes to bring more wellbeing resources to the SMS community including meditations and online sound journeys.

Emma Sowerby

Emma is Head of Growth and Development, leading strategy, business development, and ways of working. She cares deeply about human connection, people, culture, and mental wellbeing, and is passionate about creating psychologically safe and supportive environments. Informed by her own experiences, she brings empathy, insight, and authenticity to her work, drawing on a background in retail, fitness and leisure, self-care, mental wellbeing, management, and consultancy.

Liya Abbasi

Liya is a Wellbeing Programme Manager at International Wellbeing Insights with a background in Organisational Psychology. She is a huge advocate for workplace wellbeing and is passionate about creating supportive, inclusive environments where individuals and teams can thrive both personally and professionally.

Judy Fakhera

Judy is a Wellbeing Project Manager and Performance Psychologist with a background in sport and exercise psychology. She is passionate about supporting people as a whole, offering a listening ear, and helping individuals create sustainable, healthy lives both in and outside the workplace. Judy is particularly focused on translating evidence-based strategies into practical tools that help people thrive, whether through managing stress, building resilience, or enhancing overall wellbeing. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active, playing sport, and spending time outdoors, bringing the same energy and positivity to her personal life as she does to her work.

Tom Provan

Tom is a Wellbeing Project Manager with a background in Behavioural Science and Strategic Insights, shaped through work with leading global companies. His career has focused on understanding how people think, feel, and cope in everyday life. He is currently training as a psychotherapist, deepening his knowledge of the emotional and relational patterns that sit beneath stress. Alongside this, Tom teaches Tai Chi, Qigong, and Meditation, bringing eastern practices into everyday wellbeing. He is driven by a deep curiosity about people and a belief that greater self-understanding helps us live and cope more sustainably.

Stephanie Moumtzis

 Stephanie Moumtzis is Head of Communications and a strategic communications professional who specialises in helping mission-driven organisations tell their story. With over six years of experience spanning the global health, development and social impact sectors, she is passionate about the role that communications plays in shifting how we think and talk about wellbeing and mental health, and about creating the conditions for genuine, lasting change. 

Raquel Lopez

Raquel transitioned from a 15-year career in corporate communications and European politics to focus on supporting others in their wellbeing and personal growth. She is a certified Integrative Health Coach, with additional expertise in holistic practices, including yoga, meditation, and reiki. One of Raquel’s greatest passions is guiding children through yoga and mindfulness, where she finds immense joy in watching them flourish.  A strong advocate for mental and emotional health, Raquel believes in the transformative power of mindfulness. If she could share one essential tool with people of all ages, it would be meditation, as it fosters balance, resilience, and inner peace.
