In an Emergency

    For anyone in emotional distress or crisis.
  • SHOUT – Text “SHOUT” to 85258
    Free, confidential text support service.
  • National Suicide Prevention Helpline UK – Call 0800 689 5652
  • Papyrus HOPELINE247 (for under 35s) – Call 0800 068 4141, text 07860 039967, or email pat@papyrus-uk.org
  • CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) – Call 0800 58 58 58 or visit thecalmzone.net
    (Open 5pm to midnight every day, aimed at men but open to anyone)

Other Support Options

  • Your GP – They can offer urgent mental health referrals or speak to you about treatment options.
  • NHS 111 – If you need advice but it’s not life-threatening, call 111 or visit 111.nhs.uk
  • Local NHS Mental Health Crisis Team – Most areas in the UK have 24/7 mental health crisis services. Find local contact info via your NHS Trust website or by calling 111.
