• Individual Membership

We offer three tiers of Individual Membership:

 

Our Full Membership benefits (professional in the field) is open to a person who can show continuing professional development in the area of stress management expanded beyond their original training.

Full Membership Benefits:

  • Being able to state that you are an accredited member of The Stress Management Society
  • Being able to display our logos on your marketing material and website
  • Contribute to articles to our websites and newsletter
  • Your profile and picture will be posted on our website
  • Gain referrals from our website and newsletter (website currently visited by over 350,000 people per annum and newsletter sent to over 60,000 people)
  • Use the Designation AMSMS (Accredited Member of the Stress Management Society)
  • Our new website also has an area dedicated to the latest news on the issues of Stress and Wellbeing, guidance and research from government as well as organisations including the NHS and the Health & Safety Executive
  • We run regular events throughout the UK which you will be able to attend at a 10% discounted rate

To be eligible for our Full Membership, you will need:

  • At least 3 years professional experience in the relevant field of work (require evidence of high professional knowledge and experience)
  • To supply a copy of your public liability insurance and any relevant achievement certificates (e.g. qualifications from a stress/wellbeing course run by a recognised college/school/university/trainer. Evidence of course completion is required or evidence of published work that shows a detailed knowledge of the theory and practice of stress management)
  • Provide contact details to two references—one reference will need to be a client you have worked with

Note: If you do not have the full requirements needed for our Full membership, then please have a look at our lower membership grades.

Renewals: We have reward schemes in place for when you renew your membership with us, please get in touch for details.

Our Associate Membership benefits is open to any person who is involved in the subject of stress management and is either not eligible to become a full member or who wishes to postpone becoming a full member at this time.

Our Associate Membership benefits include:

  • Being able to display our logos on your marketing material and website
  • Contribute to articles to our websites and newsletter
  • Gain referrals from our website and newsletter (website currently visited by over 350,000 people per annum and newsletter sent to over 60,000 people)
  • Use the Designation MSMS (Member of the Stress Management Society)
  • We run regular events throughout the UK and online which you will be able to attend at discounted rate, including our Mental Health Champions course and access to WellbeingProtect.

To be eligible for our Associate Membership, you will need:
Provide contact details to two references—one reference will need to be a client you have worked with

Open to students, of any age, pursuing studies for qualifications (academic or vocational) in which stress management is related to or in some way part of the course content.

 

Our Student Membership benefits include:

  • Use the Designation MSMS (Member of the Stress Management Society)
  • We run regular events throughout the UK which you will be able to attend at a 10% discounted rate

To be eligible for our Student Membership, you will need:

  • Provide annual proof of your student status
  • Provide contact details to one referee (any academic reference)
