Wellness and Feeling Good
Location: Cheshire, North West England
Emily runs Feel Good Tools, a seminar programme designed to assist people in harnessing their own power in the fight against stress. Like a muscle that needs to be worked, Emily runs you through various mental and physical exercises to bring your awareness to your stress, to brake it down and replace it with something better. Coming from an holistic background, Emily is well placed to approach the individual as a whole, focussing on the physical, mental, emotional and environmental aspects of stress; alongside using tried and tested techniques to further aid relaxation and relief.
Additional information:
Emily’s interest in stress management came early on in her career as an holistic therapist when it became clear that some clients could not switch off. It became apparent that the relaxation achieved in an aromatherapy massage was actually only achievable with the client’s informed consent. The client has to want to relax! Emily began to explore this issue and when she began her post as teacher of Holistic Therapies in 2007, she brought the concept of stress management into the classroom. Researching and collating different techniques and asking her students to do the same.
It seemed like the obvious marriage between holistic therapies and stress management. Holistic therapies are designed to treat the whole person, when actually they concentrate largely on the physical person and not on what’s going on inside.
Within her final year of teacher training, Emily brought the concept of Stress Management into her final project, compiling primary research as well as further analysis of the subject.
Feel Good Tools is a workshop offered as a one-day seminar or hour-long lunchtime ‘Turbo Tools’, perfect for the workplace.
